Your wedding. Your way.
Let’s create a fun, friendly wedding that reflects both of your personalities. One that is unique and authentic to you, and relaxed and enjoyable for all your guests. I've worked in media most of my life, close to a decade as the CEO of Channel 7's Telethon and before that, ten years keeping Mix 94.5 Perth’s #1 radio station. Plus waaaay back, I started out on the air, so I'm very familiar and confident with speaking in public.
I’m well organised and passionate about creating a bespoke, personalised, stress free ceremony that is engaging, light hearted, authentic & energetic so that your big day becomes the most special day of your life.
My goal is to have your guests tell you it's the best wedding ceremony they've ever experienced.
I will go out of my way to make sure your wedding is the best possible experience for everyone involved. I take care of all the ceremony details so that you can focus on “being in the moment”. That’s why I make the effort to understand your exact needs from the start, so the ceremony you imagine is the ceremony you’ll get.
I‘ve also got a kick-ass list of wedding professionals who can help create the wedding of your dreams, so hit me up if you’re looking for some recommendations.
Take a look through the steps we’ll go through below and if you feel I might be the right guy for you, then let’s connect.
Here’s how it works.
-
Step #1
Let's get to know each other over the phone, faceTime, Zoom or the old fashioned way over coffee somewhere.
I’ll get you to tell me about the type of ceremony you want and answer any questions you have. I’ll explain the options we have and the process we’ll go through to make your big day come to life.
If you need ideas for other vendors like photographers, videographers, florists, stylists, wedding planners, even venues, then I’ve got “The A List” ready for you.
-
Step #2
Once you have decided it's me you want to bring the good vibes to your wedding, you tell me all about your history together and who's going to be involved in the wedding. This is done either face to face over coffee or wine or online.
We also sign and witness the Notice Of Intended Marriage (which must be lodged with me at least one month before the wedding).
-
Step #3
Using the information you have given me, I create a wedding ceremony that is light hearted, unique and authentic to the two of you.
After I've written the ceremony, we can catch up to run through it, or if you prefer you can hear it for the first time when everyone else does on the day.
-
Step #4
A wedding rehearsal prior to the wedding is a good idea if it will put you at ease. All we need is the wedding party there, so that they all know what pace to walk, where to walk and where to stand. We’ll also run through any last minute changes or details.
-
Step #5
The wedding day!
I'll be there nice and early to make sure everything is in place. I'll play some tunes through my high quality speaker prior to the ceremony. I'll get you both relaxed and “in the moment” so that you enjoy the ceremony along with all your guests. Your vows will be printed out ready to hand to you at the right moment. I’ll even have a handkerchief ready in case we need one.
-
Step #6
After the wedding I make sure all the legal paperwork is taken care of and lodged so that your marriage is legally registered.
And it’s as simple as that. You’re married!
The Stress Free Wedding & MC Experience
If you want a day that’s been designed to ensure you are stress free for your ceremony and reception. I’ll take care of everything from the moment the ceremony begins (well even before that actually) right through until you start to let your hair down after all the formalities are out of the way at the reception.
Plus you’ll have the consistency of the same person taking everyone through the biggest day of your lives at your reception. Someone who knows their stuff, is confident, a good speaker and who can create an energy level that will be fun, light hearted and authentic to the two of you.
It means that you’ll get to deal with less people along the way and not have to keep on repeating what sort of day you are trying to create. We’ll sit down and get it all sorted out plenty of time before the big day, so that you are not stressed in the lead up to and on the day of your wedding. Basically, I’ll be your wingman, so that you get to “be in the moment” for the ceremony and reception.
The Authentic Wedding Experience
This authentic wedding ceremony experience has been designed to take the stress out of everything to do with your wedding ceremony so that you can arrive knowing that everything will be as we discussed and planned and really be “in the moment” for the ceremony.
First, we’ll sit and plan all elements of the ceremony so that it’s exactly what you want. Then I will create a truly authentic, personalised wedding ceremony that truly reflects your personalities. It will be one that you and your guests remember forever.
On the day, I’ll take care of everything from the moment the ceremony begins (well, even before that actually) right through until after your guests have all congratulated you afterwards.
The Quick & Easy Elopement Style Wedding
Maybe you don’t want the full on wedding ceremony. Maybe you just want to “get hitched” with a minimum of fuss.
This is a simple wedding perfect for people who are eloping or wish to have a very private wedding that includes the lodgement of all legal paperwork and this can be done at my own home or yours. It just takes a few minutes and can be just you two and two witnesses. If you like you can invite another 4 people as well.
Fiancé Visa Letters are also available upon request. If you have been asked to provide the Department of Immigration with a Fiancé Visa Letter to support your Prospective Marriage Visa application, this can be obtained immediately after lodging your Notice of Intended Marriage, when we first meet.
Once all legal paperwork has been lodged, within two weeks after the marriage, registered copies of the Marriage Certificate can be obtained from the WA Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages.
NOTE: You will still need to complete the Notice Of Intended Marriage at least one month prior to any wedding, just like you would if you were getting married at the registry office.
