Okay there are one million and fifty thousand tips when it comes to getting married. In fact, that is basically what all the posts on this blog are all about. As a celebrant, all I have done is collect information that I feel would be useful to couples in the lead up to their marriage.

These five tips are awesome. Did any one ever tell you not to wear a bra early in the day on your big day? And did anyone tell you how to pee in the toilet once you have a wedding dress on? Now that I've got your attention, let's get to the tips...

Wedding Tip #1

On your rsvp cards, (or your rsvp website if you’re doing it the modern way) add a line for a requested song. This way you will know what your guests want to hear and they will get excited when their song comes on.

Wedding Tip #2

Photo Tip: Don't wear a bra on the morning of your wedding. You don't want strap marks in your photos.

Wedding Tip #3

Tell all your speech makers they’ve got 2 minutes (they’ll actually take 5 mins). Nobody likes long speeches.

Wedding Tip #4

Did you know the easiest way to pee in a wedding dress is to sit on the toilet backwards, facing the wall. True story. Try it (just don’t ask me how I know!).

Wedding Tip #5

Guests remember three things (other than a bad speech) at weddings. The celebrant, the food & wine and the music. Send them home with good memories. Get yourself an “A Class” celebrant, “A Class” food & wine and some “A Class” music. Then you’re sorted for an epic night.
